Nick Butlin has over 15 years experience building technology driven businesses in the aerospace and energy sectors. He has led and delivered a number of complex projects ranging from the UK’s first domestic flexibility based electricity retailer to the largest demand side aggregation deployment and developed innovations in electric vehicle managed charging, both grid scale and distributed electricity storage, and peer to peer microgrids. Before Viriya Energy, Nick held senior roles in energy industry disruptors including as Director of Operations and Technology for Tempus Energy and Director of Operations and Technology for KiWi Power. He is a Chartered Engineer and holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering, a CIMA Adv. Dip. in Management Accounting. He is also a PMP Project Manager and certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.
